Target onboarding
SNMP targets are created from Server Directory onboarding with a target address, port, protocol version, and vendor MIB selection.
Test credentials before creating the target so reachability and authentication errors are caught immediately.
Polling and telemetry
Successful polls persist hardware, interface, storage, processor, and availability snapshots supported by the target.
Traffic rates are derived from adjacent octet counters. Counter resets and reboots are excluded, while valid 32-bit wraps are corrected.
Hybrid devices
Devices may combine Agent and SNMP sources. Metric cards identify the selected source and sample time, and charts mark fallback to SNMP data.
